Fortune 500 Company Shareholder Loyalty Program

 Client story:

A Minnesota Fortune 500 company and longtime Arrowhead Promotion and Fulfillment client wanted to create a holiday goodwill offering for shareholders, creating a kit of the client’s own products available exclusively to shareholders at a price greatly reduced off retail. The offering would include flagship products along with emerging product lines to demonstrate the client’s value to shareholders.

The shareholder audience is multi-generational, with different preferences for how they wanted to interact with the client’s offering. The client would need multiple channels for this promotion to be successful.

Arrowhead’s solution:

Arrowhead’s flexibility allowed it to create an experience that would meet the end-user however they wanted to interact. That included a phone-in order option, a form the shareholder could mail back with a check, and an ecommerce website, which also provided ease of compliance and data collection.

The project involved 1.5 million SKUs and 50,000 boxes annually, with 23 items in each box. The boxes are suitable for holiday gift-giving, which also put a deadline on when shareholders would receive them.

Arrowhead helped the client curate items to meet their specifications, including optimized shipping. Arrowhead then created a complex mapping document to properly place all the items, three layers deep, into the box, with white glove treatment. Arrowhead also flexed its labor force to be able to handle the sheer volume of kits and order management.

In addition to the complex kitting, Arrowhead acted as the ecommerce gateway for the project, including fraud mitigation and managing funds, including checks. Managing checks brings its own complexity if checks are made out for the incorrect amount and need to be returned, or have excess funds remitted.

Shareholder feedback was positive, both on shareholder forums and to the client itself. The client reported the project performed well in terms of driving shareholder loyalty.
